If the three-legged-stool cliche applies anywhere, it applies to extracting maximum value from the Sales Knowledge Xchange. All three of the above are essential.
- Contribute: Anyone who has done it realizes how putting something down in writing dramatically clarifies the thought process and makes clear communication of a concept far faster and easier. Keep Albert Einstein's observation in mind, "You do not really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother." After you've written it down in SKX, you’ll be able to explain it to Grandma.
- Write articles and/or author a blog and/or host a podcast and/or create videos, and/or...
- Comment on articles, blog postings, podcasts and videos, and/or
- Edit SKX Wiki pages
- Absorb: This is the essence of being a student of your profession. You can never have enough fodder for Creative Abrasion. Exploit the continuously expanding volume of SKX content.
- Apply: Do it! Writing and absorbing concepts is necessary, but not sufficient.
- Test the concept in the real world
- If it works, write about it
- If it doesn't work, write about it
- If it partially works, write about it
